Meet our Doctors

Leah Ramsaran, DVM

Rotating Veterinarian

I grew up in a large Jamaican family in South Florida. As the daughter of two physicians, I originally intended to pursue a career in the human medical field when I attended undergrad at Duke University. I switched to veterinary medicine after getting to experience some of the amazing opportunities offered at my undergraduate institution including the Duke Lemur Center and the Duke Canine Cognition Center. After undergrad, I attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and obtained my DVM. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in theriogenology with the ultimate goal of using assisted reproductive technologies to help endangered species.  In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my Rhodesian Ridgeback, sculpting, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family.
