I grew up on Long Island, New York. During my early teens, I worked on a fishing boat until I was 15, that’s when I got my start in a busy small animal veterinary practice in Bellport NY. I was fortunate to have excellent mentors and my love for veterinary medicine grew exponentially. From there, I attended SUNY Suffolk college and received my degree in 1999 in Veterinary Technology. I have held various positions throughout my career from a hospital administrator to working in anesthesia at the Animal Medical Center in NYC where my passion for my calling in rehabilitation and pain management started. Recently, I completed the Canine Rehabilitation program at University of Tennessee in 2016 and have worked with patients with osteoarthritis and post-surgical orthopedics. My areas of interest are osteoarthritis management, orthopedics, sports medicine and the one health effort as it applies to rehabilitation. I currently live in Arlington VA with my wife Elda and my son Matteo In my free time I love spending time with my family, cycling, traveling, and enjoying various local wineries and breweries.
